My name is Robin Raisch and I am currently a conducting graduate student at California Baptist University. I graduated from Florida Southern College as a double major in piano and flute performance. I have spent 17 years of my life playing piano and 12 years playing flute.

I performed in many prestigious ensembles over many years for piano and flute. I had the wonderful opportunity to perform in the World Youth Wind Symphony at the Interlochen Center for the Arts in 2021. I also had performances with the Intermediate Symphony Orchestra and performed on piccolo with the Interlochen Philharmonic. In 2019 I toured London, Normandy and Paris with the Florida Music Ambassadors on their 75th D-Day anniversary tour on piano and flute. In the same year I performed in the Florida Music Education Association 2019 All State Symphonic Band. This January, I was a flute player in the symphony band at National Taiwan Normal University and spent a whole week touring the country and performing in different venues with the band. In 2019, I won first place for my piano and flute performance for the Lakeland Music Club competition and was the first recipient of the Sue Fee Memorial Piano Scholarship at Florida Southern College.

I recently engaged as Artist Liaison with the National Repertory Orchestra this summer and had the opportunity to perform piano in Disney’s Live in Concert “The Lion King” with the orchestra while the movie was performed above. I got to play piano on Anna Throvaldsdottir’s “Ro” for the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts. In the Summer of 2022 I was a conducting fellow at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival under Dr. Gene Moon. I got to conduct many orchestral works with orchestra, including a selection from the film Disney’s Fantasia with orchestra. Even though I am moving towards conducting, I find joy in still performing on my instruments and teaching children. I have maintained an active piano studio for 3 years teaching children from ages 5-14 years old. My teaching philosophy is to build a strong foundation of learning technique and musicality so that students can learn on their own without help from a teacher. Many of my students could not perform piano 3 years ago and now are performing in masterclasses, playing sonatas and competing in competitions. I would love to add flute lessons as well starting this year. I recently moved a few weeks ago from Florida to start graduate school, so I would like to restart my studio and push it to another new level.

This year, I would love for my students to be involved in masterclasses, studio recitals, the opportunity to compete in competitions, participate in different associations, and more. I am knowledge about the K-12 education system about All-State, All-County, Honor Bands, Youth Orchestras, etc. and have knowledge on how to pass these auditions. In high school, I made continuously made All-County 6 years in a row and also got superiors with distinction at the state solo and ensemble levels. I will help your child on the path to success by teaching them a strong core foundation for learning music. Please contact me for more information about the studio policy, recital and competition opportunities and interests in lessons.
